Ink ownership inscription on front pastedown mostly hidden underneath dj's front flap; some ink marginalia and underlining on page 353 but no other such markings readily apparent upon a cursory perusal but may be present. These books were adapted for the cinema in the 1960s ('School for Scoundrels' adapted by Peter Ustinov, recapitulates many of the 'one-up' ideas) and later for television in the 1970s. Illustrated with drawings by Lt.-Col. Frank Wilson. Index. vii, 487 pp. Near fine in very good dust jacket (overall light edgewear to dj, original price of $4.95 still present).
