typed text on sheets laid down, illustrated on every page using different colour tissue papers and black ink, some of the text restored in manuscript where obscured by illustration, pp. [15], crown 8vo, the text block sewn and loose within card wrapper, this with title and gift inscription ('To Mummy with love from Sarah, Christmas 1962') in manuscript, a few marks to this, very good. The tissue-collage illustrations are the most striking feature of this underwater tale - the story of an unbeautiful fish called Oliver in the 'gloomy depths', whose protruding bulb and sharp 'spiny teeth' come to be useful and win him friends. The author is obscure, but her work is sufficiently skilful to suggest an artistic background.
