Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Whitman Printing 1940's. Vintage Hardback. Plain brown composition cover with black lettering. Book is in Good condition with a tight binding and clean crisp pages. There is a name written inside the front cover. No other marks or writing inside or outside of the book. Outside covers show some minor soiling and some wear to outside corners and edges. There is a tear of about 1" at the top of the outside spine. No Dust Jacket.

Most of the title is missing on the jacket spine. Other small chips and tears. Some foxing on the flaps of the jacket. No markings. Pages tanned. Hinges good; pages tight. Jacket in mylar.

Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. This NF quality possible first edition book was published in 1926 by Grosset & Dunlap. It is 7-5/8" tall and has 218 numbered pages followed by 2 unnumbered pages of ads; it is the tan/red/black quad cover. It is square, exceedingly clean, completely free of corner bumps and edge dings; the head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped, with a tiny tear in the cloth at the head. The bottom edges and lower front corners have very little wear. The exterior looks practically new. The interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. Both hinges are strong and not damaged. The frontis is intact. The paper is very slightly toned and quite flexible. The book lists 29 Swift titles on the copyright page and 29 titles on the list at the rear of the book. The VG+ quality jacket is rather clean; it has a tiny chip at the lower front corner and a small chip with a tiny tear at the head and several tiny tears at the heel of the spine. The spine is very mildly toned and the lettering and image on the spine are vivid. The front panel is intact and not faded. The front flap lists to the next title in this series.
