It is dated October 7, 1942, and discusses the reissue of the book, and states that he is sending her a copy of the book. In the same envelope is a small brochure about Davis, who was known as the "Most Widely Traveled Correspondent in the World." Portrait frontis by Charles Dana Gibson.
