Hardcover. Zustand: Near Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. 1st Edition. This NF/NF is a beautiful book. And being the last in the short series, the hardest to find in a jacket and thus likely the most expensive to acquire. The exterior is very clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings, with barely a hint of bumping at the head and heel of the spine, and no lower edge wear. The spine has a modest vertical crease. Additionally, the book still has a "brand new" shine to it, with all the lettering and the fish in dark blue and completely intact. The interior is pristine: it is free of writing, stray marks, stains of any kind and page damage of any sort. The hinges are strong, the lightly toned paper is quite flexible and the frontis +3 is intact. The end pages are not torn or in any fashion damaged where they meet the spine and cover the hinge. The jacket is intact and virtually complete, with tiny chips at the front corners and at the head and heel of the spine; the only tear is a 1/4" closed tear at the bottom of the rear panel. The spine is slightly darkened and has an erasure smudge beneath the title. But there is no fading--the front panel colors are bright and vivid--and no tape anywhere on this jacket. Needless to say, the jacket is--and has been for the 20 years that I have owned it--in a protective jacket cover.
