Library holder, taped Hildreth on lower front board. Hildreth Congregational minister, was born in Massachusetts, January 2, 1782. He graduated from Harvard College in 1805, and was engaged for a number of years in teaching, being professor of mathematics in Phillips Exeter Academy from 1811 to 1825. He was an active pioneer in the Temperance reform. He was the author of various essays and sermons. (Sprague, Annals, 8, 445). Book in good condition. Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
