Originally titled "Unter dem Doppeladler" (German for Under the Double Eagle) Composed in 1893 Written as a military-style march, but it became hugely popular in concert bands and show performances The "Double Eagle" refers to the double-headed eagle symbol of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The piece often includes show-off techniques?like players mimicking eagle calls or adding dramatic flair?making it a favorite for performers who want to entertain audiences. This particular copy is a little worn along edges, with a few closed tears. Interior music score is fine. Although composed in the 1890s there is no copyright date on this piece, likely printed in the early 1900s.
