Salesman's Dummy with facsimile signatures in the subscription area. ca 1890s - unfortunately the date on the title page has misprinted so the very last digit is not legible - you can only make out 189[x]. Bound in plain tan leather. An example of the finished banded spine is pasted down to the rear endpaper. The leather shows some waterstaining and is heavily rubbed. Corners are bumped. Leather is just beginning to crack at the top of the hinge. The rfep is badly discolored from contact with the spine sample, and has some tearing and chipping at the edges. The ffep also has lightly chipped edges. The engravings have offset into their tissue overlays. Pages show some light paging soil but for the most part are clean and bright. The binding is quite sound. Size: 8vo - over 7 3/4 in - 9 3/4 in Tall.
