Standards and their related indicators (driven from national and world documents) describe what student teachers should know and be able to do as a result of training. Applying quality teaching standards supports having a link between what student teachers learn at the university to what they do in their teaching practice and to what they will do in the classroom as new teachers. Standards-based techniques employed in the study included micro-teaching, videotaping analysis, multimedia-based activities, portfolios, etc. Such techniques provided an opportunity for all participants of the study to learn from and with peers through research and reflective practice; consequently, their EFL teaching knowledge and performance were improved. 524 pp. Englisch.
