Hard cover. Zustand: Very Good. Very good in very good dust jacket. Very good in good+ dust jacket with chipping at edges. @1" chip at head of spine and back corner of dj. In mylar. Hardcover in dustjacket with an 'electric' bindu on front of orange paper dust jacket Dr. Sinha's work was inspiried by a seminar at the Medical College of Patna, for which he had prepared a paper entitled "Yoga in Modern Life", which constitutes the first chapter of the book. The book goes on, according to Dr. Sinha's preface, to clarify "the fundamentals of yoga from scientific points of view", and presenting "the whole system as a science". Chapters on Nervousness and Relaxation and its direct approach to various symptomatic responses to modern life, make it an excellent companion to any healing modality. Dr. Sinha took advanced degrees in the United States from University of Chicago (MA) and The American University in Washington (PhD). He found the scientific link running through yoga by reading the original works of Kapil, Patanjali, and Vivekananda. He view's Kapil's Samkhya philosophy as the foundation of Pantajali. His extensive personal practice and experimentation is the other foundation of his work.
