This chapbook has been officially out of print for decades, but in October 2008 while rummaging in boxes of magazines and ephemera long in storage, we stumbled upon several copies. They were not in mint condition, having a little bit of foxing around the edges. It was issued as half of a matching set together with Janrae Frank's THE RUINED TOWER (of which we are out, alas), under the transient imprint Atalanta Press. "Atalanta" was a cult figure of ancient Spartan girls' runner cults, thought appropriate for a series of heroic fantasy novelettes about Amazon warriors. But almost universally people mistook the name for Atlanta, Georgia, so the imprint name was not used again, and is really the same as Jessica Salmonson's Duck's Foot Tree Press. Both T. J. Morgan and Janrae Frank were contributors to the World Fantasy Award winning anthology Amazons! from DAW Books, and each novelette is a second adventure about the same characters as appeared in Amazons!
