Davant d'aquesta situació, un altre Barrufet decideix provar noves tècniques de curació que aviat seduiran la resta dels Barrufets i provocaran un desgavell de Barrufets que volen ser metges i remeiers aplicant tractaments absolutament extravagants. Zustand: New. Presumed First Edition, First printing. Format is 8 inches by 10.5 inches. 2 pages. Printed on pink paper. Minor wear and soiling noted. This supplements SACR 51-1 of 18 September 1961. This supplement supersedes SACR 51-1/15AF Sup 6, 31 January 1960. The purpose was to provide a source of information for the description and location of the W-460 Hoquiam Bombing and Gunnery Range and to establish policies and procedures for its use. Includes information on scheduling procedures, patterns to be used, range control procedures, and safety procedures. Mojave Gunnery Range "C" encompasses approximately 20,908 acres of desert in Kern County, California. The site is located east of Mojave, California, and overlaps the southwest portion of California City. In August 1944, the Department of the Navy acquired land near Mojave to conduct aerial bombing, strafing and air-to-ground rocket range training. The 11th Naval District developed a training area consisting of six stationary ground targets and one mobile ground target that were used by pilots stationed out of Marine Corps Air Station, Mojave. After World War II, Marine Corps Air Station, Mojave became Naval Air Station, Mojave, and the Mojave Gunnery Range "C" training area was used by Naval Ordnance Test Station, Inyokern; Naval Air Station, Mojave; and the U.S. Army to test and evaluate pilotless aircraft. Naval Air Station, Mojave closed in January 1947 and the training area remained idle until 1951 when Marines from El Toro used the air field as an auxiliary field. The air field was renamed Marine Corps Auxiliary Air Station, Mojave and was referred to as an Advanced Gunnery Range. In December 1958, the leases for the training area were terminated and in January 1959 Marine Corps Auxiliary Air Station, Mojave officially closed. Today, most of the former Mojave Gunnery Range "C" training area consists of undeveloped land owned by private entities with small portions owned by Kern County and the Bureau of Land Management. Off-highway vehicle recreation, small arms shooting practice and seasonal sheep grazing are conducted on the undeveloped land. Illegal dumping also occurs on portions of the former training area. The northeastern corner of the former Mojave Gunnery Range "C" boundary extends into California City, which is developed for residential and commercial use. The southwestern portion of the range is owned by the Hyundai-Kia North American Proving Grounds, which operates an automobile test track on the property. The Corps of Engineers began investigating the former gunnery range in 1999 through the Formerly Used Defense Sites, or FUDS, Program. An Administrative Record containing project documents and reports for Mojave Gunnery Range "C" is available at the Kern County Library, California City Branch, and at the Corps of Engineers, Los Angeles District office. The Mojave Gunnery Range "C" FUDS property has been divided into the following eight projects: the Bombing Target; Strafing Target #71; Bombing Target "F"; Rocket Range 101; Bombing Range #73; APA Areas 5 & 6; APA Area C; and APA Areas E, E1, and E2. This website provides information about each project. Three-hole punched, partially double-punched.…

This supplements SACR 51-1 of 18 September 1961. This supplement supersedes SACR 51-1/15AF Sup 2 31 January 190, and C1, 31 January 1960. The purpose of this supplement is to provide a source of information for the description and location of the W-281 Point Arguello Offshore Gunnery Range and to establish policies and procedures for its use. The guidance addressed routine training sorties, special missions, range control procedures and safety procedures. The former Point Arguello Radar Site B-30 is located 10 miles southwest of Lompoc in Santa Barbara County, California. The radar site is a restored Army Air Forces Aircraft Warning Service (AWS) facility. The site is now a part of Vandenberg Air Force Base (VAFB). War Department interest was originally obtained by lease on 28.86 acres in 1941. The property was leased from the Sudden Estate Company, which had some farm buildings on the site. The purpose of the site was to establish a secret long-range radar site along the Central California coast during World War II. The initial installation was an SCR-270B radar facility located just east of Red Roof Canyon and operated by the AWS. Some sources indicate that an SCR-271 series radar set may have also also operated at this site. The site was garrisoned by the 654th Signal Aircraft Warning Company and later the 659th Signal Aircraft Warning Company. Both units were under control of the Los Angeles Control Group. The facility was used until the end of World War II and the two leases were terminated on 24 July 1947 and 15 June 1948. The site was reacquired by US Air Force in 1966, when the Sudden Ranch was purchased and incorporated into VAFB. A parking lot and part of the northwestern facilities of the Space Shuttle complex at Space Launch Complex 6 were built over the radar site in 1980. None of the former facilities have been in evidence during the last 30 years. The Army reportedly conducted a full restoration of the site following the radar station's deactivation after World War II.…

In den WarenkorbZustand: Good. Format is a single sheet, approximately 8 inches by 10.5 inches, with three holes punched in the left side. This memorandum, issued 22 May 1963, shows some wear and soiling. This type of operational communication within the SAC organization rarely survives. The author, Major Dominick J. Sacco was at the time a major in the USAF and Chief, Air Weapons Section of the 456th Strategic Aerospace Wing (SAC), Headquarters located at Beale Air Force Base in California. The 456th Bombardment Wing is an inactive United States Air Force unit. It was last assigned to the 14th Air Division of Strategic Air Command at Beale Air Force Base, California, where it was inactivated on 30 September 1975. The wing was redesignated the 456th Strategic Aerospace Wing and was activated at Beale Air Force Base, California in February 1963. It flew Boeing B-52 Stratofortress bombers and Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker air refueling aircraft, and also commanded a HGM-25A Titan I squadron until 1965. Although it operated no intercontinental ballistic missiles after then, it was not until July 1972 that the wing was redesignated the 456th Bombardment Wing. The wing was inactivated in September 1975 and its personnel, equipment, and mission transferred to the 17th Bombardment Wing, which moved to Beale on paper from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The contents of this Memorandum was intended to clarify operation of the RCD, especially regarding the operation of the SWESS. The memorandum stressed that to achieve SWESS arming the RCD must first be connected and the light must be on. RCD is understood to mean radar cable detection. SWESS is understood to mean Special Weapons Emergency Separation System. This system (SWESS), also known informally as the dead man's switch, was a nuclear bomb release system that the United States Air Force Strategic Air Command built into bombers such as the B-52 Stratofortress. The system's purpose was to ensure that an aircraft's payload of nuclear weapons would detonate in the event of the crew becoming debilitated by enemy defenses such as missiles. Once armed, the system would ensure that the onboard nuclear weapons detonated if the aircraft dropped below a predetermined altitude. The North American Aviation AGM-28 Hound Dog was a supersonic, turbojet-propelled, nuclear armed, air-launched cruise missile developed in 1959 for the United States Air Force. It was primarily designed to be capable of attacking Soviet ground-based air defense sites prior to a potential air attack by B-52 Stratofortress long range bombers during the Cold War. The Hound Dog was first given the designation B-77, then redesignated GAM-77, and finally AGM-28. The Hound Dog continued to be deployed for a total of 15 years until its replacement by newer missiles, including the AGM-69 SRAM and then the AGM-86 ALCM. The purpose of this Supplement was to provide a source of information for the description and location of the Wendover Weapons Range Complex. The complex consists of Wendover and Hill air force bases weapons ranges b Hill Air Force Base and available for use by units of all air Force commands and Department of Defense services, after clearance and scheduling with Hill Air Force Base. Fifteenth Air Force has negotiated an agreement with Headquarters Ogden Air Material Command to utilize jointly the facilities described in this supplement. Includes Weapons Ranges Criteria. Includes Special Instructions for GAM 72 Emergency Jettison. . Includes Range Control Procedures. Includes Safety Procedures. Wendover Air Force Base is a former United States Air Force base in Utah now known as Wendover Airport. During World War II, it was a training base for B-17 and B-24 bomber crews. It was the training site of the 509th Composite Group, the B-29 unit that carried out the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. After the war, Wendover was used for training exercises, gunnery range and as a research facility. It was closed by the Air Force in 1969, and the base was given to Wendover City in 1977. Tooele County, Utah, assumed ownership of the airport and base buildings in 1998, and the County continues to operate the airfield as a public airport. A portion of the original bombing range is now the Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR) which is used extensively by the Air Force with live fire targets on the range. Wendover played a key role in the postwar weapons development industry with three areas being developed. The first was further testing of the JB-2 Loon flying bomb. In the case of the second area, the B-17 Flying Fortress, obsolete as a combat aircraft, was being tested to fly remotely. Gliding bombs, based on captured technology from the wartime Henschel Hs 293 German radio-controlled glide bomb were being developed that could be controlled by radar or radio. The third consisted of bombs that could be controlled by the launching plane. The historic GAPA (ground to air pilotless aircraft) Boeing project resulted in the first supersonic flight of an American Air Force vehicle on 6 August 1946. In March 1947, the Air Proving Ground Command research programs were moved to Alamogordo Army Airfield, New Mexico. As a result, 1,200 personnel from Wendover Field were moved to New Mexico from Utah and were relocated to Alamogordo to conduct guided missile research projects. Three ongoing projects were transferred: Ground-to-Air Pilotless Aircraft (GAPA), JB-2 Loon flight testing, and ASM-A-1 Tarzon gliding bomb. Transferred to the Strategic Air Command' Fifteenth Air Force in March 1947. With the establishment of the U.S. Air Force as an independent service later that year, the installation was renamed Wendover Air Force Base in 1947, but while bombardment groups deploying on maneuvers used the bombing range, the rest of the base remained unused. It was inactivated in 1948 and declared surplus, although retained in a caretaker status. The Air Materiel Command assumed responsibility for the base in July 1950, placing it under the jurisdiction of the Ogden Air Material Area at Hill Air Force Base. Between 1950 and 1954, the base was manned by a skeleton crew of thirteen. The buildings deteriorated. Some were removed, some demolished, and some burned down. Tactical Air Command (TAC) reactivated the base under the Ninth Air Force on 1 October 1954, and tactical units deployed there for exercises, utilizing the base for the next four years. TAC invested several million dollars renovating the base facilities, and constructed new targets on the range. But only 331 personnel were assigned to the base in 1956. The base was deactivated again in December 1957. It transferred back to Ogden on 1 January 1958 and renamed Wendover Air Force Auxiliary.…
