There are 168 Pages. with a coloured frontispiece - The Folk Art Map of Japan - and eighteen (18) other coloured plates together with many Gravure Plates. There is a preface by Soetsu Yanagi, founder and director of the Japan Folk Art Museum. The highly decorated Dust Jacket which is price clipped was designed by M Kuwata, based upon the folk-craft style of Kichiemon Okamura. The slip case is made of corrugated cardboard covered with brown paper and stapled. The paper is browned with a little loss to edge exposing the corrugated paper. It has a 'paste on' decorated label with the title and author. This book deals with a rediscovered branch of Japanese art which, in the straightforward beauty of its products is currently delighting the Western world.
