The exhibition sparked controversy over its focus on installation art as well as questions around who had the right to make "Caribbean" art. Race and class also played major roles in the reception of this exhibition; some regional critics branded the artists as "white" and privileged and took exception to the all-female lineup of artists. Covers have wear, staining and uneven… fading. Paper is tanned in places but unmarked. This copy is lacking the limitations page shown on other copies. Rather the number 1, dedication and signature are all handwritten on dedication page. A short story of Sherwood Anderson's visit to Chicago on April 25, 1931. This was a limited edition given as Christmas gifts to friends Philip Richard Davis Christmas 1931.
