Enlivened by bracketed accounts of the audience reactions ("Sensation and applause," "Immense applause and a rush for the orator.") Very good in ivory cloth boards, stamped in gilt, with a red, white, and blue shield. 1/2 inch loss to foot of spine; light soil and toning, especially to spine. Internally fine, with portrait frontispiece. Attractive DeVinne printer's ornaments; title in red and black.
