Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Very Good. 1st Edition. Scarce edition of this already uncommon book, with this edition featuring a lovely Edward Gorey illustration and here signed by Gorey on the cover. This is the second revised printing, and Gorey lore aside seems like an incredibly interesting and dense title, 350 pages of ecological insight with illustrations. Binding is solid, tight, sturdy, square, strong. Interior is bright and clean, free of marks of any kind. Boards clean and firm, though with some scuffing about the gutter of the front board and a bit of bumping at the corners and foot of spine. Dustjacket is clean, sligtly bumped in same area as boards, slightly rubbed along the image on the front panel. Gorey has signed his name in black marker under the image - definitely not printed, evident by seeing images of the cover without the signature.
