The jacket has just minor wear to the edges, 1 tiny chip from the back panel top edge. The book itself inside is fine, no flaws. This is one of the most elusive of the volumes in the famous "Esempi" series. It was put together in the early 1950's and is a survey of the very best in modern glass design. It covers glass design from Europe, Scandinavia, and America. Text in English, French, German and Italian. 337 illustrations with numerous color plates. Large 4to, 11" high X 8 1/2" wide, 173 pages. This is very good copy of a very scarce title. This book will be securely wrapped and packed in a sturdy box and shipped with tracking.

Profusely illustrated survey of 50 single-family isolated houses (i.e. villas) around the world selected by Aloi as among the best modernist designs. One of those villas was the Chestnut Hill, Pennsylvania home of Mrs T. R. White that was designed by "Philadelphia School" architects Aldo Giurgola and Ehrman Mitchell. On the front free endpaper Giurgola has warmly inscribed the book to Mrs. White, and the inscription is signed by both architects. The book is in excellent condition: clean, bright, and tight. The dust jacket is good to very good with quite a bit of uneven wear along top and bottom edges. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall. SIGNED. Book.

In Italian, this is a collection of 50 fairy tales translated into Italian from the original German of the Brothers Grimm, with 16 lovely new watercolor plates throughout the 415 pages of text by Italian artist Vittorio Accornero. No date of original publication or copyright, but publisher's note in rear places this Fifteenth Edition c.1949. Hardcover octavo has soft orange cloth-covered boards with gilt ruling & lettering to spine. Condition is Good: generally clean, with faded pencil marks to front & black smudging to rear board. Interior clean & unmarked save for gift inscription in pen in Italian to half-title page. Hinges secure, a couple of pages are loose or completely detached. The colored plates are lovely, with soft white margins showing light tanning, but no foxing; all page edges show more moderate tanning, with a few dogeared corners.
