Well, this isn't him. This is the London poet who, of late, has focused on haiku. "Marlowe Court" is a sequence of poems inspired by the goings on at a block of flats (American translation: apartment building), some of which first appeared elsewhere. 20 pages, plus purple endpapers, sewn with purple thread into printed blue card wrappers with flaps. Designed, handset and printed by Kenneth Hardacre at his Hertfordshire private press. Edition limited to 200 numbered copies, this being number 152. Slight fading to the card covers around spine, but a near fine copy. MC.

It reprints eight essays on the topic of music, taken from Priestley's 1949 book, "Delights", published by Heinemann. Originally intended to be published to celebrate Priestley's 90th birthday in September 1984, the great man of letters died the previous month so the book became a tribute. 28 pages sewn into grey card covers with blue endpapers and a wrap-round printed grey wrapper with flaps. The edition was limited to 300 numbered copies, of which this is number 43. With the book is the single sheet prospectus, hole-punched, but otherwise fine. A fine copy. MC.
