B & W portrait of the author and his family. The front board has a 3/8 in. thinned spot on the top edgs and a 1/8 in. spot rubbed through to the board on the bottom corner; the back joint has a 1/8 in. spot rubbed through to the board. The three blank papers in the back are foxed; the front fep is less so. The back free endpaper is missing. Two inches of the front endpaper is a little roughened on the fold.
