This slim booklet contains his recollections of the village and villagers through the decades, as well as following his family's history in the village: his great grandfather, William Brooker, ran one of the village's two grocery shops in the early part of the 19th century. In 1970 Mrs Chamberlain sold the rest of the estate to Glebe Housing and Glebe House was first converted into accommodation for the elderly, with purpose built shelter housing in the grounds.…
