Seventh Thousand, 259 pages, illustrated with 18 pages of drawings illustrating the Masonic handshakes and other mysteries, bound in original cloth, paper label no longer legible, 12mo, endpapers browning otherwise very good. Printed and published by S Thorne, Printer, Shebbear, Devon, 1851. *Power's checklist gives this as the date for the first printing in Shebbear.

Decorative Cloth. Zustand: Good. Dedicatory page Dated 1792. Text arranged in Double Columns. Period dark Green cloth cover with blind-stamped Decoration on front, back and spine. Dedication and Preface + Main text of 150 p. pages + Contents page at the back. Some fading to cover. Closed tear to cloth down right side of spine (for about half the length and a closed tear across spine). Inscription on endpapers dated 1863. No other inscriptions. Hinges sound. Pages in nice, clean condition. Tiny bit of insect damage to rear board with a little hole in last few pages.

Half Calf. Zustand: Good Plus. Book measures 16.5x10.5.cm. 160pp. Bound in period half calf, marble boards, flat gilt bands. Binding rubbed, general wear. Internally, annotations in pen and pencil on endpapers. Pages in good condition. A good copy. Size: 12.mo.

Hardcover. Zustand: Poor. 16mo. Pp, iv, 388. Full calf, gilt. Piece missing from top of spine. Lower hinge cracked. Some soiling and fingering.

Reprint. In sludgy-green cloth, with brown title panel on spine. With line illustrations, numbered to 29, with 1-3 on first page, & lacking 6/8 & 10, which seem to have been mis-numbered by printer, as no pages are missing. Lacks front free end paper; print rather small; end papers a little browned. Margin of p.109/110 cut off (text not affected). Spine browned, with wear at head & foot; title panel badly worn, without text. Title continues: "and a key to the Phi Beta kappa, and also an account of the kidnapping and murder of William Morgan. by a traveller in the United States" Used - Acceptable. Fair hardback.
