Desig…ned as a self-governing polity, the sangha served as an exemplar for society in the Buddha s time and offers a strikingly relevant model for our own.At a moment when democracies around the world face declining effectiveness, political theorists increasingly turn to deliberative democracy as a remedy. This approach holds that democratic decisions become more legitimate, more informed, and more stable through the public exchange of reasons among free and equal citizens. Ideally, deliberation aims at reasoned consensus oriented toward the common good, rather than outcomes driven solely by power or competing self-interests. Yet nearly all contemporary accounts of deliberative democracy are Western in origin and largely confined to late twentieth- and twenty-first-century thought.Buddhism and Deliberative Democracy challenges this assumption. Drawing on canonical texts and historical practices, Long demonstrates that the early sangha institutionalized regular assemblies, open deliberation, and collective problem-solving among members who participated as equals across lines of class, caste, and within historical limits gender. The combination of full-duplex (FD) technology with ISAC technology (FD-ISAC) brings additional advantages over traditional Time Division Duplex (TDD)-based ISAC systems. Full-duplex technology enables simultaneous transmission and reception of signals, thereby minimizing communication delays and perceived blind spots. This capability allows FD-ISAC systems to achieve higher communication throughput and better perceptual performance in dynamic, demanding environments. This book provides a comprehensive and detailed introduction of FD-ISAC systems, focusing on their principles, techniques, and practical applications. This book firstly introduces the signal model, channel model and beamforming technology of ISAC, and the self-interference signal model of full-duplex system, respectively. And on this basis, the system model of FD-ISAC is constructed, which can realize the communication and sensing functions at the same time. The key signal processing technology flow of the FD-ISAC system, such as the self-interference cancelation processing, the identification of the interfering signal, the echo signal, etc., are described. This book also discusses the hardware requirements for realizing FD-ISAC systems. Advanced hardware implementation solutions are proposed, including communication modules based on full-duplex self-interference cancelation (SIC) technology and specialized FD-sensing modules. In addition, recent research advances in FD-ISAC SoC technology are reviewed, highlighting both domestic and international research progress. These advances are critical to the commercial viability of FD-ISAC systems, as SoC designs provide a compact and cost-effective solution for integrating the necessary communication and sensing functions on a single chip.

Druck auf Anfrage Neuware - Printed after ordering - This open access book aiming at the current problems such as a single thermal radiation modulation mode, this book proposes an active modulation method of thermal radiation characteristics based on temperature-voltage coupling, which reveals the potential p…hysical mechanism through the electric field distribution at different wavelengths and the power dissipation density distribution, and considers the effects of incident angle, polarization angle, and geometrical parameters on the spectral radiation characteristics. The spectral radiation modulation of one-dimensional periodic micro-nano-structures is investigated, and a theoretical model of smooth-type periodic structures is established to analyze the influence of the rotation angle of the crystal axis on the spectral radiation characteristics. With the help of equivalent medium theory, the two-dimensional periodic micro-nano-structures are equivalent to a gradient refractive index medium along the z-axis direction, and their broadband absorption properties are explained with the refractive index matching theory. On this basis, the spontaneous radiation modulation of a single-layer flat plate structure is investigated by taking the biaxial hyperbolic material -phase molybdenum trioxide ( -MoO3) as an example, and the relationship between the Purcell factor and the rotation angle of the crystal axis of -MoO3 when the crystal axis is rotated in different planes is discussed respectively. The modulation phenomenon is interpreted by the distribution of the reflection coefficients in the space of dimensionless wavevectors. The effect of lossy/lossless substrate on near-field radiative heat transfer between -MoO3 films is investigated, and the near-field radiative heat transfer is discussed when the near-field radiative heat transfer is along different crystallographic axes directions, respectively, and the effects of thickness and the permittivity of the substrate on the near-field radiative heat transfer of the -MoO3 films are revealed. To address the demand for efficient solar thermal conversion in solar energy applications, research on solar absorbers and nanofluids based on micro- and nanostructured materials has been carried out. The superposition Fabry-Perot resonance theory is applied to the field of solar thermal harvesting, and a design method of solar absorber with multilayer membrane structure is proposed, which reveals the potential mechanism of high absorption performance in different bands and analyzes the influence of the number of cells on the spectral absorption performance. The photothermal conversion properties of solid/hollow nanopillar structures based on four equipartitioned excitation materials are investigated and compared, and the effect of hollow structures on the equipartitioned resonance of localized/propagating surfaces in the nanopillar structures is revealed by investigating the optical properties and resonance modes of solid/hollow nanopillar structures of different materials.

Starting from the Einstein equations of general relativity, the formalism is developed through explicit computations and a careful explanation of both the mathematics and the physics involved, paying special attention to general-relativistic gauge invariance. For technically cumbersome steps, examples of numerical and symbolic computer scripts are provided. We also discuss the issue of thermalization, by which a part of the energy density driving the exponential expansion can eventually be converted into the conventional hot big bang. The book is primarily aimed at graduate students of theoretical high-energy physics, but can serve as a self-contained introduction to inflation also for advanced undergraduate students, or for professional scientists.
