When considering the introduction of new technology and raw materials or the re-organisation of labour-intensive manufacturing plants, considerable weight has been given up to now to the automation of production processes. The largest part of our book is the fifth chapter which deals with invo- torial rimple algebras of finite dimension over a field. Of particular interest are the Jordan algebras determined by these algebras with involution.
