FROM DUSTWRAPPER: "[T]he authors. . .lay out a series of steps that, if followed, would restore human beings to the center of all economic considerations and thus alleviate much of today's painful and, until now, seemingly insoluble socioeconomic problems. / Remarkably simple, these steps to a true economic democracy are yet in no way part of a simplistic, utopian scheme." "Thus, we will not only present a critique of traditional [Marxist and Keynesian] economics, but we will put forth positive measures that. . .would guarantee full employment, the stable purchasing power of our currency, and a concern for the natural environment and the scarce resources needed for future generations. . . ./ Our tools for achieving these goals will be totally new concepts of money, credit and taxation. . . ." WHITE DUATWRAPPER not price-clipped ($6.95) with title lettering in large black letters across top half front covert, author names in smaller gray letters across bottom front cover, with a series of thin, alternating gray and black horizontal lines decoratively separating title and author names. BOOK: NO foxing on book edges or inside covers, but light, irregular tan staining to be seen on white spine cloth down portions of cloth spine between gutters of covers and (vertical) joining of white cloth and glossy black boards on covers (resembles offsetting sometimes found on inside covers and endpapers, due to glue used in book manufacture); front cover inside pastedown badly cut, so that a sliver of it extends ever so slightly past front cover right (black) edge from top corner until midpoint of cover edge: describes so much worse than it is, but there you have it: arguably a Fine/Fine artifact, regarding previous use, looking Unread: Tight binding (NO cracks); sharp corners (NO bumps or curls); NO rubbing wear (dustwrapper did its job); NO previous owner names. Clean text. Solid copy.

Hardcover w/ Jacket. Zustand: Fine. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: Near Fine. This 6.5 x 9.5 inch, 203 page hardcover book with dust wrapper is the apparent 1976 printing of this title and probably the first edition with the Two Continents Publishing Group - - with no dating beyond 1976 shown on the copyright page. This book is in fine condition with virtually no wear showing to the brown paper-covered boards and with the interior text in fine condition. The dust wrapper is in near fine condition with only a bit of wear showing to the back panel and with the wrapper now protected by a Brodart cover. This book shows a gift inscription dated 7-30-76 on the half-title. This book is another treatment of that Custer event of 1876 and the author Thomas Marquis talked with numerous individuals that participated in the battle during the early part of the twentieth century and he would publish other titles about western life - - but his analysis of the Custer fight - - with his contention that there was ?an unbridled collapse of soldier morale resulting in a self-extinction? was resisted and rejected and went unpublished until later published after his death. 203 pages.
