Gilt lettering on red leather patch to compartment two, gilt decoration to other compartments. 9.75ins x 6.25ins, new endpapers, [16pp], 504pp plus frontis, engraved title page and 14 full plates. Also 5 illutrations within the text. Whilst the text pages are generally clean, the frontis, engraved title page and most of the plates are foxed and stained.
