Paperback. Zustand: Fine. No Jacket. First Edition. This is a new, signed copy of Roser Caminals novel originally published in Catalan in Barcelona, where it was both a critical and commercial success. Caminals, who is the author of six novels, is one of the best contemporary Catalan novelists. The Street of the Three Beds is part of a trilogy of novels about Barcelona in the late 19th and early 20th century. Each volume in the trilogy stands alone. This one involves the disappearance of a young woman and the efforts of her lover to find out what happened to her; in the process he uncovers the underside of Barcelona life at the time and finds that his own family is deeply involved in corruption. This is Caminals' most celebrated work, and only the seconf of her novels available in English. Her first novel, Once Remembered, Twice Lived, is the other. Translated by Caminals, who lives in the United States, and signed by the author on the title page. Signed by Author(s).

Buch
Soft cover. Zustand: Very Good. vii, 203 pages ; 21 cm. Includes full text of Relación by Madre Josefa de la Providencia (p. 93-191).
