But with the aid of the Federal Trade Commission, an interested bystander, "The Bastard Son" of this union, the Graybar Electric Company, Inc., came into being. The baby's parents were adamant about one provision: All stock in the new company was to be owned by the employees of the company. Thus came into being one of the first and largest of the entirely employee-owned companies in the United States. The tremendous success of this great company is more than justification for the faith and foresight of Ma Bell and Pa Western.There is a message in these ramblings.
