ISBN 10: 390332065X ISBN 13: 9783903320659
Anbieter: AHA-BUCH GmbH, Einbeck, Deutschland
Buch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - The little goddesses books are an important communicative instrument that serves to connect the scientific, artistic and regional dimensions of the project The Dissident Goddesses Network, science to public. The beautifully designed little books support the project in making the results and findings of archeology known to a wide audience. The Goddess Book # 3 is dedicated to the Idol von Falkenstein found in the period of painted ceramics (approx. 4600 BC) in Falkenstein in Lower Austria in 1978. A text by the deserving archaeologist Christine Neugebauer-Maresch tells the circumstances of the discovery from a very close perspective and illuminates the so-called Lengyel culture, from which the small painted work of art originates. A manifest-like text on the settled cultures of the Neolithic Age and the role of women is contributed by Arantzazu Saratxaga Arregi, an interview conducted by Romana Schuler with the wine farmer Elisabeth Himmelbauer leads into the presence of Lower Austrian agriculture, into the presence of mothers and daughters. Elisabeth von Samsonow introduces the booklet. The French-Chilean artist Federica Matta has also taken over the artistic design of this book of goddesses. She lets the Idol von Falkenstein appear with her colleagues and her ceramic household like in an imaginary theater and brings them to life.

Thekla Zell - EXPOSITION ZERO : Vom Atelier in die Avantgardegalerie

Taschenbuch. Zustand: Neu. Neuware - On the foundation and establishment of the Zero movement in Germany using the example of the evening exhibitions, the gallery Schmela, the studio f, the gallery nota and the d(ato) galleryDüsseldorf 1957: The artists Heinz Mack and Otto Piene initiate public exhibitions of contemporary art in their private studios in order to declare a new start in art. Within a few years, the loose exhibition community in the ruinous backyard studio becomes the internationally networked avant-garde movement Zero, which included artists such as Günther Uecker, Yves Klein, Jean Tinguely, Almir Mavignier, Uli Pohl and Piero Manzoni.Starting from the public exhibitions of the Zero artists-the 'Exposition Zero'-Thekla Zell examines the largely unnoticed role of German avant-garde gallerists in relation to the foundation and establishment of Zero in the late 1950s and early 1960s. At the center of the investigation are the evening exhibitions organized by Heinz Mack and Otto Piene (Düsseldorf), the Schmela gallery (Düsseldorf), the studio f (Ulm), the nota gallery (Munich) and the d(ato) gallery (Frankfurt a. M.). Far from the sober atmosphere of the white cube postulated by Brian O'Doherty of today's galleries, their gallery spaces formed-whether Schmela's one-room 'Salönchen', Kurt Fried's private living room, the basement of the gallery nota or the two rooms of the d(ato) Gallery in a Frankfurt backyard house-popular meeting and important meeting points of a new avant-garde: Zero.
