Loyd Haberly, a Professor English at Washington University in St. Louis was a most rare and remarkable bibliophile and poet. He wrote his own poems, he set the letter press for his book, he was the illustrator who engraved his book, tooled and created the full morocco binding. and gilt tooled the binding with rich symbols of Louis the Ninth of France, for whom St. Louis was named. He is the only book man or author to my knowledge to ever achieve this goal One of only 200 copies. a fine copy only a trace of rubbing to the outer joints else fine.
