The basic law credited to that Greek, Euclid, is that 2 right angles must total 180 degrees, thus the total degrees in any type of tri-angle with its' 3 right angles, will always total 180 degrees. This basic deductive logic can very quickly help one to understand the great utility of an equation. Euclid's concepts go much deeper than this; such as the philosophy of self-evident truths & how to make such truths seen. From 1854 onwards, it's rumored that Lincoln based the structure of his speeches around the universally applicable Truths found in this book & even credited it to the success of his being a lawyer.
