Index to the appendix (i.e. the 192 pages). 5 newscuttings pasted to front free end paper, on recto and verso. Hard cover. Contemporary half polished calf with marbled boards. The five newscuttings are reviews of the book from Scottish newspapers of 1855 and 1856 and they are particularly complimentary of the impartial treatment of the 'Land Question' and the grievances of the settlers against the Colonial and the Home Governments.
