One of one thousand copies printed, of which four hundred were pulped according to Woolmer 92. Foxed, wraps soiled and scraped, crown of spine bruised and split. Neatly inscribed in the corner of the first page are the words "Isabel from Robert 1926". Isabel Reichenthal was the sister of the poet Laura Riding and a poet in her own right. Graves had recently become friends with the Reichenthal family, having admired Riding's poetry for a year or two beforehand; he dedicated books to the girls and their father throughout the rest of the 1920's (Laura Riding - 'L. R. G.' - is this publication's printed dedicatee). Pale blue paper boards printed black. 33 pp. Size: 8 1/2' x 5 1/2" Splits and cracking at the top and bottom of front joint.
