This VG- quality first format first edition book was published in 1928 by Grosset & Dunlap. It is 7-5/8"tall and has 216 numbered pages of text followed by 2 unnumbered pages of ads. This book has a noticeable lean, is very clean, free of corner bumps and edge dings; head and heel of the spine are very lightly bumped with a very slight amount of damage at the head; the bottom edges have just a slight amount of wear. The spine has a vertical crease. The binding looks very good and has few signs of wear. Except for lightly toned end pages, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, stains of any sort and page damage of any type. The hinges are strong and not damaged in any way. The frontis is present and not damaged. The paper is barely toned and though a tad bit stiff is quite flexible. The series lists at the rear of the book lists only the first 5 Ted Scott titles. The VG- quality jacket has small chips at both front corners with slight wear along the front fold and larger chips at the head of the spine. There is a larger 1" x 1/2" chip at the top of the rear panel. The spine and rear panel are both somewhat darkened. There is no tape on this jacket.
