Lovely Period 'Pulp' fiction Romance Novel. Paper covers with an attractive 1930s period cover. No Date shown, but Sharman Ellis Ltd only appeared in the London telephone directory in 1936-37, so I'd guess that book must also be from that period, circa 1936/1938 maybe. The front cover image seems to bear this assumption out. 3 closed tears to the rear cover (now neatly repaired on the inside of the cover with clear archive tape) but no loss, a little scraping/tiny surface loss to the head/tail of the spine but unusually for this type of paper fiction this copy is pretty well preserved. The paper is uniformly, but lightly, tanned throughout - type of cheaper paper used - but all printed in clear black type. 64 pp. Stapled in the paper covers. A printed advert on the rear cover for 'Sensational Mystery Thrillers' Nos 1-4. Delightful! . I can just imagine an Agatha Christie-type character reading this on a steam train!
