A highly celebrated author in her lifetime, she also wrote under the pseudonym of Stephen Hockaby and Malcolm Torrie. A scarce copy.A signed presentation copy, inscribed to the front free endpaper 'Love and every good wish, Yours' dated 1965, and signed to both the front free endpaper and the title page. A picture of the author was previously tipped in with tape, now detached and loosely inserted.In an exquisite Sangorski and Sutcliffe full crushed morocco binding with gilt to the edges.
