Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Nigel Pavitt arrived in Kenya in 1955 as an 18 year old British Army soldier. He fell in love with the country and has remained ever since, serving 20 years in the African Rifles, and then as an official in the Kenya government. Retired from public service, he is commercially involved in an ostrich farm and a rose-growing business but spends all his free time traveling throughout Africa photographing landscapes and people and documenting African history. He lives in Nairobi, Kenya in the Karen district, made famous by Karen Blixen, the writer Isaac Dinesen.
