Lightly rubbed corners, spine folds and extremities, and small rub to fore-edge. Quite heavily foxed edges. Internally vg a on the whole with occasional mark and fox spot. Soft paper: a group of page corners chipped. Psychological crime novel. By respected and prolific author of first half of 20th century, also a music critic and satirist, friends with Oscar Wilde and many luminaries of the era. After the Verdict was made into a 1929 British-German silent drama film directed by Henrik Galeen and starring Olga Tschechowa and Warwick Ward. 450g.
