First American Editions Hardcovers:- Mountolive -a First Printing of the First American Edition.,1959.;-Clea -a 5th printing in June,1960; Balthazar -a 6th printing in September,1960. Mountolive is bound in black cloth with corners slightly rolled and worn; heel of spine is softened. Clea and Balthazar bound in black cloth have the slightest touch of shelf wear and for Balthazar-the top and fore-edges have a small discoloration where they meet; Justine is bound in burnt orange buckram. All bindings are square and firm. The pages are clean, smooth and unmarked in all four volumes. The sturdy slip case is in very good condition with rubbing wear on the top and bottom panels and light bumping of all corners. The left corner of the top panel has a .75 inch crack.
