Limited edition. One of 300 copies. Edition number printed on the inside of the front cover. Original publisher's green wrapper with staple binding. 6" x 9." Thirty-two pages, complete. The last page features advertisements for other publications. Pages and covers are very clean and intact. Staples are a little rusted but barely affect the pages (text is not affected). A Fine copy. Richard Realf (1832-1878) was a poet. Realf achieved success early in his career and was a well-traveled individual which highly informed his work. During the Civil War, Realf served in the Union Army and wrote poetry on the field which also received acclaim. This is an examination of Realf and his poems. Also included is a discussion of Ambrose Bierce's eulogy to Realf after Realf committed suicide. Bierce's eulogy is reprinted here as well as several examples of Realf's work.
