Spine shows very slight cocking, fading, rubbing to cover edges. Near fine (unused/unmarked) copy. Scan shows the spine & front cover. Original edition was in 1930. Small sample from Bill Targ's foreword: In presenting this new edition of my compilation to the book-collecting world, I must necessarily assume the defensive at the very outset. In the previous and pioneer edition of this book, sufficient material for criticism was apparently afforded to (what my friend Ed. Kruse terms) the hammer and tong brigade. And I have learned that to those gentlemen who continue to regard the book collecting game as something of an esoteric art with much mumbo-jumbo attached, the idea of presenting material information to collectors at large, would appear extremely unethical and distasteful. [-] If some have accused me of every fiendish device, from the listing of books I am anxious to sell, to the very inventing of titles well, it is the privilege of any fantastic imagination which chooses to do so.
