This book is in good condition considering its age. The covers are water stained and the edges of the pages are stained too but the binding is good and there are no tears. This is a large book - 10" by 13" by 1 1/4 ". The foreword is by Theodore Roosevelt and he describes the book as meeting three qualifications for a good sporting book. The author must know his subject, the game birds, second, he must be a thorough-going sportsman, and third, he must be able to write. There are 21 chapters starting with Scaup ducks and ending with the ring-necked pheasant. There is a color painting for each bird There is also an appendix.
