Blue boards lettered in gilt with image of camel to front. A spillage has caused hardness and discolouration to an area 2cm x 3cm along the top of the rear edge, causing a 1cm split on the actual edge. The cloth along the top of the spine has worn away to a depth 0.5cm and the base if frayed likewise. Both the front corners are bumped, the top one causing an 0.5 x 0.5cm area of cloth to hang loose. There is a 3cm closed split down the top rear hinge. Also a degree of fading and soiling, but the front cover is reasonably bright. Internally, browning to endpapers and a slight looseness in the binding which is nevertheless holding tight. The spillage on rear top has caused a hardly discernable buckle to the top of the last four pages. Ninety illustrations. viii. 343pp. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
