She was highly praised for her role in British imperial policy-making as an Arabist, and was a close friend of the famous British archeologist and army officer, T. E. Lawrence. The half title page is present, alongside one page of the publisher's advertisements to the front of the book. With the ink signature of Leonard W. King to the front paste-down. Leonard William King was an English archeologist and Assyriologist, known for his translations of ancient works such as the Code of Hammurabi. He was also a professor at Kings College, Cambridge.
