A fold-over packet measuring 6-1/8" by 4-1/4" and containing six internal cards, attached accordian-style and attached to packet, as issued, with twelve splendid art-enhanced color photographs (two images per card, one to front and one to rear) of the Coliseum, Union Station, Times Building, Victory Square, New Terminal Annex Post Office, New Post Office and Federal Building, "Broadway," Wilshire Boulevard, New Los Angeles Civic Center, El Paso de Los Angeles, and China Town. No date, although circa early 1940s (the inside folder contains text entitled "LOS ANGELES, CAL. - THE GATEWAY OF THE PACIFIC" and refers to the 1940 Census). The front and rear sides of the outer packet are also illustrated (Planetarium and New Civic Center), and the front side contains an area for a mailing address and postage stamp (never used or mailed).
