Very rare collection of reports relating to the US Government and their treatment of Native Americans during the Cherokee removals. While reports from later, even the 1840s, are relatively common, reports from the 1830s, especially during the Cherokee removals, are very rare. Accompanying the report are numerous tables and documents, including "Condition of the Indian tribes, relations with them, and descriptions of the Indian country," "Education and schools," Changes in the Laws," "Government of Western Territory," "Laws and Regulations," as well as a section of blank forms and a report detailing the "Exchange of Land."
