With engravings of such beautiful spots as Okehampton Castle, the Tower of London, Carisbrooke Castle, Dudley Castle, Godshill, Guy's Cliff, Ludlow Castle and Glastonbury Cross, to name a few.Written by James Sargant Storer with John Grieg, both topographical artists known for their engravings of ancient architecture and topography.In ten complete volumes as issued.A first edition.Each volume is complete with forty-eight engraved plates, a tailpiece and an engraved title page. Collated, complete.A firmly bound collection of topographical engravings from the turn of the nineteenth century. In a full buckram binding. Externally generally smart; volume I is rather worn, with a great deal of loss to the spine. Volume II also has some loss to the tail of the spine. Volumes otherwise have occasional marks and loss as a result of bumping to the head and tail of the spine, as well as loss to the boards. Internally, firmly bound.
