Staying with the arts and culture of Russia, I am pleased to offer: The Armory in the Moscow Kremlin published by the Sovietsky Khudozhnik Publishers of Moscow dated 1990. This very large hard cover book (10 x 13 ¾ inches, 432 pages) is bound in tan cloth boards with bold gilt titles on the spine and protected by a glossy pictorial dust jacket. It is lavishly illustrated with 280 plates in full color. These illustrations feature elaborate examples of Russian gold and silver, arms and armor, precious textiles and embroidery, historical regalia and ceremonial paraphernalia, ornamental horse trappings, and royal carriages. The bulk of the book is printed in Russian with short English translations of the captions for the plates and a short summary in English at the end of the book. Condition: This book is in very good condition plus. The glossy dust jacket shows some very minor edge wear and some scuffing to the high gloss finish. The hardcovers are pristine and handsome with a faint bit of bumping to the lower corners. Inside the book is unmarked and the pages and plates are clean and bright throughout.
