Some of the articles: Charles Dickens reviewing the work of an actor; The Mormon People s Tragedy by John Hay; Mohammed and His Place in Universal History by James Freeman Clarke; Harriet Beecher Stowe on Lady Byron s life, A Pedestrian Tour and Jubilee Days by W.D. Howells; Poems by George Eliott, Bayard Taylor and Oliver Wendell Holmes, and a review of Mark Twain s Innocents Abroad. Remarkably tight and clean copy without notes or markings except for a previous owner s gummed label inside the front cover. Both endpapers show some separation but the book holds together well.
