prelims + errata, 204 pp + 436 pp., original panel leather folio, 6 raised bands worn original label all skillfully restored, ink Latin inscription at front donating the book to Ely Cathedral library. more recently originally sold at Sothebys in 1972, Ely Cathedral bookplate with cancel & Ely Cathedral markings still present on spine, a truly fine unmarked text copy of the first edition complete with errata. Invaluable for scholarly reference on the ejections of clergy & academics under the Commonwealth.There is slight wear at the edges of the leather case, possibly from silverfish damage but it is now mostly made good preserving the original leather.
