Two volumes bound together in a half leather binding of the time, gilt title, tight, rubbed at edges and boards surface, some worm holes on the spine and boards but not inside the books;dusty cuts; name of a former owner on end paper; Duchess of Kingston: 1788. With an added engraved frontispiece of the Duchess, with breasts exposed "as she appeared at the Venetian Ambassador's Ball in Somerset House" (by Chesham after Gainsborough). Inside very good but the frontispiece is somewhere soiled, as is the title page of the second book and its last pages; second book: The trial of Warren Hastings: very scarce which is the parliament report of the trial of Warren Hastings; printed 1788 by Ridgway in London; 210 pages very good except page 209-210 which has been repaired on the inner margin with some letters covered on the margin; Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 6789
